The UPR-270 direct driver rotary table with high speed torque motor and air bearings is an ultra high precision motion stage designed for the most demanding applications such as optical metrology, test and inspection and X-ray crystallography in beamlines. The motorized rotary table is driven by a direct-drive torque motor for high resolution and angualr speed, as well as for minimum vibrations and wobble. The precision air bearing as well as the absence of worm gears and other mechanical power transmission components not only eliminates vibrations, backlash & play but also guarantees higher life time. UPR rotation stages are also available with conventional preicsion ball bearings. Closed-loop operation is provided by use of high-end direct metrology optical encoders.
