Compact Rotation Stage with Torque Motor TRS-65

This compact rotary stage uses a torque motor for high speed and life time. With torque motors no worm-gears, or other friction laden power transmission components are involved improving both the precision and lifetime as well as the angular speed of the motion.

Even higher precision is possible by combining the torque motor with an air bearing as for example available in the PIglide RM Series series of rotary stages .

If low profile and high speed are essential, piezo-motor driven rotary positioners are recommended. The lowest profile stage currently available is only 14 mm in height and provides speed to 720 degrees / second. In addition its self-locking design can hold a position very stable with out power.
